Job summary

Ford Motor Company in Michigan seeks an Area Manager to lead change efforts within the plant, removing barriers and developing the knowledge and abilities of the workforce. Qualifications

• Broad production experience including Team Manager experience.
• Strong ability to interface with plant hourly, salaried personnel and plant management.
• Validated ability to present in front of senior management.
• Ability to teach Ford Production System principles.
• Competent in data for decision making.
• Excellent leadership skills with demonstrated ability to resolve diverse problems.
• Work well under pressure and in crisis management when necessary.
• Demonstrated leadership in One FORD (leadership) behaviors and strong interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead transformation and change management efforts across the plant.
• Implement Ford Production System (FPS) operating standards to global manufacturing standards.
• Ensure standards are in place and deliver measurable results.
• Remove barriers by securing resources and aligning objectives.
• Lead manufacturing areas for vehicle production including Trim, Chassis & Final Assembly, Testing.
• Oversee greenfield plant facility installation and workforce training.
• Lead vehicle launch pre-build events meeting quality and delivery requirements.
• Drive continuous improvement with teams and problem resolution.
