Job summary

Ford in Michigan is seeking a Senior Maintenance Supervisor to lead an hourly team and translate strategic goals into daily execution, shaping culture and driving performance.

You will champion safety, drive operational excellence, allocate resources, and use data to reduce downtime and defects while supporting development of your team.

This is a hands-on, high-visibility role with ownership of quality, collaboration with unions and partners, and a path to impact across manufacturing processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent; 7+ years of supervisory, manufacturing, military, or relevant experience.
• Ability to work rotating shifts and hours, including nights and weekends
• Fundamental working knowledge of PLC logic and controls
• Lean / Six Sigma and/or Military Decision-Making Process (MDMP) experience (nice to have)

Responsibilities

• Lead a dedicated hourly team and translate strategic goals into daily execution to drive performance.
• Act as a champion of workplace safety and enforce regulations to foster vigilance.
• Drive operational excellence by ensuring high-quality products and meeting production targets.
• Prioritize tasks, allocate human resources, and address safety and quality issues promptly.
• Develop and coach a high-performing team with a servant leadership approach.
• Use data to reduce downtime and quality defects and report time/attendance accurately.
• Identify inefficiencies, drive process improvements, and pursue high product quality.
• Proactively address conflicts and maintain positive working relationships with team, union, and management.
