Job summary

Ford Motor Company is seeking a Training & Development Lead to drive performance consulting within one of our manufacturing plants. You will be the architect of workplace learning, responsible for upskilling both hourly and salaried employees while balancing training with production schedules.

You will conduct needs analyses, develop the annual training plan, manage budgets and governance, and lead training committees.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Performance Technology, Human Resources, Adult Education, Organizational Development, or a related field.
• Demonstrated success in planning, organizing, and implementing training programs in an industrial, corporate, or complex operational environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with exceptional Excel skills (e.g., data analysis, pivot tables, and reporting).
• Strong problem-solving abilities, high tolerance for ambiguity, and a proven ability to build trust and collaborate with diverse workgroups.

Responsibilities

• Conduct training needs analyses at plant levels to identify skill gaps.
• Develop and implement the annual training plan aligned with plant objectives and Ford Training System.
• Evaluate training effectiveness through data collection, analysis and reporting.
• Coordinate training for new hires and existing employees, ensuring production targets are met.
• Oversee learning logistics, including scheduling instructors, presenters and facilities.
• Manage the training tracking system for records, reporting and certification status.
