Job summary

Ford Motor Company in Liberty, Missouri is seeking a Training & Development Lead to drive performance consulting and plant learning strategies. You will architect workplace learning, upskill hourly and salaried staff, and align training with production schedules to meet business objectives.

You’ll lead analyses, plan development, budgeting and governance, while partnering with leadership and the union workforce to sustain an audit-ready training program and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Performance Technology, HR, or related field.
• Experience in planning, organizing and implementing training programs in industrial or complex operations.
• Strong Excel, data analysis and reporting skills.

Responsibilities

• Analyze training needs at individual, department and plant levels to identify gaps.
• Develop and implement annual training plans aligned to objectives and systems.
• Evaluate training effectiveness through data collection and reporting for continuous improvement.
• Coordinate training for new hires and existing staff, balancing scheduling with production targets.
• Oversee learning logistics, including instructors, facilities and scheduling.
• Maintain training records, certification status and trainer/coaching performance.
• Manage education budgets and forecast needs to support the annual plan.
• Monitor completion against plan to ensure compliance with standards and safety requirements.
• Lead plant training committees and collaborate with leadership and union workforce.
• Build relationships across the plant as a trusted advisor to leadership.
