Job summary

Ag Processing Inc (AGP) in Hastings, NE offers a Supervisor Trainee program to develop future leaders in our production plants. You’ll rotate through crush, refinery and biodiesel operations, oversee staff, emphasize safety, quality and timely production, and gain hands-on management experience.

After training, you may transition to a full-time Supervisor role or other production leadership positions across AGP’s Midwest facilities.

Qualifications

• A bachelor’s degree or equivalent in engineering (mechanical, chemical, agricultural, industrial technology, or biosystems engineering preferred).
• Able to work rotating night and day shifts.
• Leadership skills.
• Analytical thinking and problem-solving.
• Able to organize employee work schedules to ensure timely completion of projects.
• Willing to relocate to Midwest locations for development program.

Responsibilities

• Manage production employees through scheduling, monitoring, and guidance.
• Take a lead role in locomotive and rail safety training.
• Monitor equipment and facility operation by reviewing logs and inspections.
• Assist with production and maintenance tasks as needed.
• Lead by example, prioritizing safety in all tasks.
• Manage and track daily production quality to meet parameters.
• Assist with inventory controls including measuring and sampling.
• Review and write reports; attend company meetings.
