Job summary

General Motors is seeking a SW IRT to own software-related end-of-line and launch quality for vehicle programs at manufacturing plants. You will capture build data, flag issues, and coordinate with QE, diagnosticians, and plant teams to ensure vehicles are built with acceptable software quality.

The role emphasizes EOL support during production events, root cause analysis, containment planning, and collaboration across internal teams with travel up to 25%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Engineering or related field.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work across functions and cultures with minimal guidance.
• Willingness to travel up to 25% domestically/internationally.

Responsibilities

• Own EOL/launch quality for vehicle programs at the plant.
• Track and close software issues using Jira and Deviator.
• Coordinate with QE, diagnosticians, and plant teams during builds.
• Present top issues and PPO outlook to leadership forums.
• Support lab check plans and engineering try-outs prior to builds.
