Job summary

General Motors is seeking an OTA Quality Engineer to support enterprise-wide Over the Air software updates across vehicle platforms. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant engineering or CS field.
• 2+ years in software development, validation, quality, integration, or triage.
• Strong diagnostic skills across embedded systems and vehicle networks (CAN/UDS/DoIP).
• Experience collaborating across multiple teams and managing priorities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Willingness to travel 10–20% between Milford, Warren and plants.

Responsibilities

• Own OTA quality and performance across vehicle programs from development to launch.
• Lead triage and issue resolution for OTA CTFs, fleet triage, and testing.
• Collaborate with ECU DREs, VeSCoM, OTA Deployment Ops to align requirements and tests.
• Oversee OTA performance issues across software, engines, back office and 12V parasitic concerns.
• Work with Vehicle Update Services and quality teams to meet OTA targets.
• Support tester tools, benches, and data dashboards for exposure and trend analysis.
• Help implement OTA readiness plans and monitor campaign performance.
• Contribute to standard work and closed-loop learning in development.
