We’re turning today’s impossible into tomorrow’s standard —from breakthrough hardware and battery systems to intuitive design, intelligent software, and next-generation safety and entertainment features.******Every day, our products move millions of people as we aim to make driving safer, smarter, and more connected, shaping the future of transportation on a global scale.*****The Role:**A **SW IRT (Software Issue Resolution Team)** is GM’s plant-facing software integration readiness role that owns software-related end-of-line (EOL) and launch quality for a vehicle program and its plants.They capture and analyze build/EOL data, flag and contain faults that impact EFTQ (including creating PRTS and managing DTC ignores via Jira/Deviator), and provide status on on-site builds and manufacturing events while coordinating with DREs, VSEs, MSIE/AVG, and plant teams.In practice, they are the on-the-ground software integrator at bench/PPO/plant, driving closure of software issues across engineering and manufacturing so vehicles can be built and shipped with acceptable software quality.**What You'll Do (Responsibilities):*** Primary SW EOL Issue during build events at the plant and Pre Production Operations (PPO)* Support EVC (Electric Verification Check) and HVF (Harness Verification Frame) flash and functionality activities* Track Electrical software PRTS issues and ensure that owners provide timely and effective closure* Support the QE and diagnosticians in completing the PRTS 4-Diamonds as well as reject or approve Electrical PRTS issues at Launch PRC stage* Provide proper preliminary root cause analysis to ensure appropriate assignment of PRTS issues* Ensure all Process Change opportunities are reviewed.* Support and/or Coordinate Engineering Try-Outs (ETO) and Plant Trial Runs (PTR)* Provide and implement containment plans as required* Track/monitor breakpoints of containment and corrective action* Support Electronic Easel Board reviews. Ensure issues are captured, understood, and routed to the correct team for troubleshooting* Work with Electrical Diagnosticians, QEs, AVG organization, and VSIEs to plan lab check process for all future programs before builds begin* Present top issues / PPO Look ahead info to leadership forums – VIP Ops, eSAPIR* Escalate unresolved issues as needed to respective leadership forums* Domestic & International travel for build events - 25%**Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications):*** Bachelor of Science in Engineering* At least 2 years of post-graduation engineering experience required* Excellent oral and written communication skills* Strong interpersonal skills involving ability to work effectively cross-functionally and cross-culturally* Demonstrated Bold and It’s on Me Behaviors* Demonstrated ability of dealing with ambiguity to enable timely decision making* Ability to travel**What Can Give You a Competitive Edge (Preferred Qualifications):*** Knowledgeable in Jira SW issue tracking system* Have launched a VIP vehicle program at a GM plant* Working knowledge of using a NeoVi/Vehicle Spy tools* Knowledgeable in the use of DPS and/or GBFTT programming tools* Must be comfortable reporting out to senior leaders of the SMT and program teams* Knowledgeable of the Software release process from SMT to Manufacturing – VCAM/SPR/SPD/GEPICS* Knowledgeable on PRTS system and processes* Knowledgeable in GVDP, ECR, EWO, TWO, BSD processes and systems* DFSS Blackbelt* Plant launch experience with both EVs and ICE vehiclesGM does not provide immigration-related sponsorship for this role.
