Job summary

Ag Processing Inc (AGP) is hiring a shift supervisor for our refinery in St. Joseph, MO. The role provides management support, trains employees, enforces policies, and ensures quality standards are met.

The ideal candidate will have experience supervising teams, strong communication skills, and a mechanical and safety-minded approach. This position is on-site in Saint Joseph, MO, with opportunities to lead projects and coordinate with other departments.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a high school education or equivalent is required.
• Technical degree is preferred.
• Experience supervising employees through training and motivating.

Responsibilities

• Provide management support by supervising plant workers’ activities, including training and scheduling.
• Monitor and maintain processing supply inventory; document on-hand amounts.
• Enforce company policies and procedures.
• Develop and manage projects as assigned by management.
• Attend company meetings and participate in continuous improvement.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Ag Processing Inc (AGP) is currently hiring for a shift supervisor at our refinery in St. Joseph, MO. The person in this role will assist with the day-to-day operations through providing management support throughout the plant. The shift supervisor will also assist with training employees, enforcing company policies and procedures, and will ensure that quality standards are being met.

Requirements

• Experience in supervising employees through training and motivating.
• Strong critical thinking and problem solving skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience using computers and other office equipment.
• Capable of sound decision making.
• Great team player and takes initiative.
• Mechanically savvy
• Safety conscientious.
• Highly organized and strong attention to detail.
• Capable of working with diverse group of individuals.
• Knowledge of hazard communication standards and PSM, preferred.
• Able to communicate with customers, co-workers, and various business contacts in a professional and courteous manner.
• Five years or equivalent in related field is preferred.
• Minimum of a high school education or equivalent is required. Technical degree is preferred.
