Job summary

Siemens Energy Staffing is seeking a Plant Engineer in Houston, TX to serve as the site's technical engineering specialist. You will support continuous improvement of equipment performance, reliability, and plant processes while providing regulatory compliance support under the Plant Manager's direction.

You will independently analyze equipment changes, failures, testing activities, and performance trends; develop corrective actions within policy and authority; and coordinate with Operations,

Qualifications

• BS in engineering or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 10+ years in power plant operations, maintenance, or engineering.
• Experience with gas/steam turbines, generators, transformers, and protection and control systems.
• Familiarity with NERC Reliability Standards and compliance documentation.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and project coordination skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in English.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support for plant operation, maintenance, and reliability improvements.
• Analyze performance data and trends to recommend actions improving efficiency and output.
• Review changes to generators, GSUs, relays, AVR/excitation systems, governors, and DCS/PLC logic for adequacy and compliance impacts.
• Coordinate NERC compliance programs and serve as a technical compliance resource.
• Maintain compliance records, test reports, and OEM/vendor documentation.
• Support regulatory reporting, data requests, audits, and site-ready compliance readiness.
