Qualifications

• Associate degree in Operations Management, Manufacturing, Engineering Technology, Supply Chain, Business, or related field preferred.
• Five or more years of progressive experience in manufacturing operations, production planning, scheduling, supply chain, precast concrete manufacturing, or related industrial environment.
• Demonstrated ability to independently manage production schedules and make operational decisions in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of production planning methodologies, capacity planning, inventory control, and manufacturing workflows.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Outlook.
• Experience utilizing ERP, MRP, production scheduling, and inventory management systems.
• Ability to interpret production drawings, manufacturing documentation, and technical specifications.
• Knowledge of precast concrete manufacturing processes preferred.
• Continuous improvement experience (Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or similar) preferred.
• Ability to pass pre-employment drug/alcohol screening and background check

Responsibilities

• Owns the plant production planning and scheduling process to align with commitments, capacity, and objectives.
• Establish production priorities by evaluating labor, equipment, materials, quality, and delivery.
• Make day-to-day scheduling decisions to maximize efficiency and on-time delivery.
• Lead production planning and backlog review meetings with cross-functional teams.
• Ensure readiness by verifying drawings, approvals, materials, tooling, and documentation.
• Identify constraints and risks, implement corrective actions, and escalate as needed.
• Procure project-specific materials with vendors to keep production on track.
• Develop and adjust production schedules to optimize capacity and respond to priorities.
• Communicate priorities and changes to plant leadership and stakeholders.
• Partner with Plant Management to improve performance and efficiency.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and lead initiatives.
• Recommend and implement process improvements that strengthen planning practices.
