Job summary

CEMEX is seeking a Process Engineer for its Demopolis, AL plant to maximize production, improve KPI performance, and ensure quality and environmental specifications are met. You will analyze processes, troubleshoot issues, and implement improvements while promoting a safe and engaged workplace.

Responsibilities include leading plant improvement projects, providing technical guidance to crews, performing balance calculations, and optimizing PID control.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry, Engineering or related major.
• 5 years progressive experience within the heavy industrial manufacturing industry.
• Previous cement process experience is a plus.
• Experience in continuous process and bulk-material handling is beneficial.
• Basic understanding of raw geologic materials and their chemical composition.
• 2-5 years progressive experience in cement.
• Availability to work and resolve issues in assigned area.

Responsibilities

• Lead plant improvement projects and drive KPI performance.
• Provide technical knowledge to plant personnel and identify training needs.
• Perform mass and energy balances and hydraulic calculations.
• Optimize PID and process instrumentation for efficiency.
• Improve environmental and safety compliance in operations.
• Coordinate safety programs and risk assessments.
