Job summary

Wells in Tennessee seeks a Plant Engineer to manage daily engineering operations at the production plant. You will support production managers to standardize processes and improve macro/micro efficiencies while ensuring safety and high quality.

The role focuses on implementing lean manufacturing practices, researching and testing new approaches, and educating the department to advance efficiency and cost savings across multiple disciplines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil/Structural Engineering is required.
• Knowledge of concrete structures and building codes.
• Experience with production, construction processes for building structures.

Responsibilities

• Review ticket details for lifters, strands, stress envelopes, blocking, connectors.
• Coordinate with mechanical, electrical, civil disciplines for aligned engineering requirements.
• Investigate load capacities of embedded hardware and special formwork; ensure anchorage and design.
• Integrates engineering standards into production practices to meet project specs.
• Communicates daily with production, quality control, and erection teams to resolve issues.
• Conducts R&D for process improvements, efficiency, standardization and cost savings.
• Develops and tests panel-handling hardware; oversee plant quality certification processes.
• Reviews materials, mix designs, and test reports; resolves NCRs with cross-functional teams.
• Oversees plant quality certification processes (e.g., PCI).
