Job summary

Georgia-Pacific in Madison, GA, is seeking a facilities operations leader to co-drive daily manufacturing and maintenance, ensuring safety, reliability and cost-effective production. You will partner with Plant Manager and cross-functional teams to improve process reliability and product quality while developing talent and driving continuous improvement at the point of work.

Qualifications

• 2+ years leadership/supervisory experience in manufacturing operations.
• Demonstrated problem-solving skills and root cause analysis experience.
• Working knowledge of EH&S management systems and safe-work practices.
• Basic understanding of operational financials, inventory control, and expense management.
• Proficiency with CMMS and standard PC-based operations/maintenance software.
• Strong communicator with cross-functional coaching abilities.

Responsibilities

• Support Plant Manager by co-leading daily operations and maintenance to meet production, quality, and financial goals.
• Coach and lead frontline supervisors, technicians, and planners to maximize engagement and performance.
• Help build and sustain a Principle Based Management culture aligned with guiding principles.
• Promote and enforce Environmental, Health & Safety standards; apply HOP practices to reduce risk.
• Oversee execution from raw material receipt through finished product shipment with Operations and Maintenance.
• Execute and support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance process reliability and product quality.
