Plant Operator Entry Level

• Monitor and manage equipment fluids.
• Operate electrical breakers to isolate or restore systems.
• Manage valves and refuel equipment.
• Maintain equipment cleanliness and safety devices.
• Conduct system tests and sample collection.

Minimum Requirements

Education

• High School diploma or equivalent; additional mechanical or electrical training preferred.

Experience

• At least 1 year of relevant mechanical or electrical work preferred.

Skills and Abilities

• Ability to read schematics and manuals.
• Lift operator license is highly desirable.
• Teamwork and technical skills.

Working Conditions

• Must have a valid driver’s license and reside within 1.5 hours of the plant.
• Work involves 12-hour rotating shifts, overtime, and being on-call.
• Ability to pass aptitude and physical tests, and wear protective equipment.
• Ability to lift up to 100 pounds regularly and work at heights.
• Exposure to noise, heat, gases, vapors, dust, and high-voltage equipment.
