Position Summary

The Maintenance Tech III reports to the Facilities Supervisor and Maintenance Manager. The role involves performing routine and preventative maintenance across the hospital campus.

Essential Responsibilities
  • Complete assigned maintenance work orders efficiently and on time.
  • Perform routine maintenance on equipment, HVAC-R, plumbing, and other hospital systems.
  • Maintain the building automation system, including HVAC and electrical systems.
  • Use hand tools, power tools, adhesives, and solvents appropriately.
  • Document completed requests, system failures, and escalate issues as needed.
  • Perform routine software checks and updates.
  • Develop reports for leadership on safety, quality, and maintenance performance.
  • Interpret plans and blueprints.
  • Ensure all work is performed safely and competently.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Valid driver’s license and auto liability insurance required. Arkansas boilers license or relevant Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, HVAC-R, or Fire Suppression Systems license required within 6 months.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in at least three of the following areas: industrial electrical systems, air conditioning/refrigeration, HVAC, generator maintenance, medical gas systems, pneumatic tube systems, fire suppression, or general maintenance in institutional environments.
Work Environment

Position involves standing/walking 90% of the time, lifting up to 50 lbs, and using hand/power tools and chemicals. Exposure to communicable diseases and bodily fluids is possible.
