Job summary

Air Products is seeking an Operations Technician for the Port Arthur, TX facility to operate, maintain and troubleshoot plant equipment. You will support on-stream performance, reliability targets and minor/major shutdowns with hands-on technical skills.

Ideal candidates have a HS diploma, process technology or maintenance certification, and strong mechanical, instrumentation and electrical proficiency. Weekend/on-call work and safety compliance are expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Certificate in process technology or a maintenance-related field preferred, or 3+ years in manufacturing, production, processing, or chemical/petrochemical environment.

Responsibilities

• Participate in core safety processes as an active Site Safety Committee member, contributing to safety performance.
• Support day-to-day plant operations to meet on-stream, production, and reliability targets.
• Investigate equipment failures, determine root causes, and recommend solutions to prevent recurrence.
