Job summary

Air Products is seeking an Operations Technician for the Ocotillo, AZ site to safely operate onsite equipment and ensure adherence to environmental, health and safety standards. The role includes monitoring process conditions, maintaining logs, troubleshooting plant upsets, and performing preventative maintenance.

12-hour rotating shifts, nights and weekends, with a strong safety focus. Minimum requirements include a high school diploma and 5 years of industrial experience, plus proficiency with

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical proficiency and/or military experience.
• Commitment to safety a must.
• Experience working with DCS systems.
• Ability to read/understand piping and instrumentation drawings a plus.
• Be available during mandatory call-in requirements; 12-hour rotating shifts including nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and adjust plant process conditions using valves and operating equipment.
• Maintain an electronic logbook of operation activities.
• Troubleshoot plant process upsets using indicators and DCS trends.
• Maintain online training program requirements.
• Issue safety work permits and perform lock-out / tag-out of process equipment.
• Inspect all work areas for safety hazards and maintain a clean, orderly environment.
