Job summary

Air Products in Baytown, TX is seeking an Operations Technician to operate multiple gas manufacturing units including ASU and HYCO facilities. You will monitor DCS, maintain water chemistry, calibrate analytical equipment, and support safety and maintenance activities.

The role requires 12-hour shifts, on-call, and travel to satellite plants. A high school diploma is required, with 5+ years of experience in industrial process operations and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of proven experience with continuous plant process operations.
• Proficient in reading P&IDs and Electrical single lines.
• Able to use core Microsoft 365 applications.

Responsibilities

• Operate DCS to monitor, trend, troubleshoot and control equipment and utilities.
• Maintain water chemistry for boilers and cooling towers.
• Calibrate and troubleshoot analytical equipment in live processes.
• Perform preventive maintenance and safety inspections.
• Issue safe work permits and manage LOTO for flammable/cryogenic systems.
• Assist with cryogenic loading and offloading operations.
