Job summary

Air Products is seeking an experienced Instrumentation & Electrical Technician to maintain and troubleshoot instrumentation, electrical systems, and DCS equipment at Port Arthur, TX, with occasional support at Westlake, LA. The role emphasizes safety, reliability, and on-site problem solving.

Responsibilities include calibrating sensors, repairing motor controls, and reading blueprints while using SAP for data management.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Trade/Technical degree or apprenticeship in a related field.
• 4 years of Electromechanical or Instrumentation & Electrical experience.
• Military service in a related field a plus.
• Detail oriented with strong safety focus.
• Willing to work overtime and on-call.
• Able to read blueprints, P&IDs, ladder logic and wiring schematics.
• Able to document details clearly.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on instrumentation and electrical equipment.
• Troubleshoot and calibrate instrument loops and control valves.
• Repair 480 VAC 3-phase motor controls and 120 VAC circuits.
• Read blueprints, P&IDs and wiring schematics; use calibration and test equipment.
• Use SAP to enter and retrieve data.
• Provide site support at Port Arthur, with occasional Westlake assistance.
