Job summary

Pioneer Industrial Corporation in Indianapolis seeks a Facilities Operations Manager to lead safety, quality, and production support across the site. You will implement KPIs, ensure regulatory compliance, oversee documentation, payroll, and HR tasks, and coordinate cross-functional teams to optimize plant performance.

The role requires a strong engineering foundation, regulatory knowledge, and the ability to drive continuous improvement across a manufacturing facility with frequent travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, related technical field, or an equivalent work history.
• Working knowledge of ASME, API, DOT, NBIC, and federal/state/local Regulations and codes.
• Interprets and applies regulatory requirements to Pioneer Industrial operations.
• Interprets quality audits, test results and defines corrective actions.
• Ability to influence leaders across the organization.
• Good computer skills with Microsoft applications.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• 15% domestic travel.

Responsibilities

• Ensure facilities have current and complete documentation to support processes.
• Identify and expedite opportunities to improve efficiency and consistency across the facility.
• Monitor and ensure compliance with programs including regulatory codes and standards; PM programs on equipment.
• Review staffing requirements and make staffing recommendations.
• Conduct inspections and develop action plans with site leadership.
• Establish auditable protocols for manufacturing, testing, compliance, vendor certification, and inbound materials.
• Coordinate cross-functional support to operate the Indianapolis facility.
• Develop KPIs for data-driven decisions and quality improvement.
• Follow Pioneer Safety and Quality procedures and regulations.
• Perform safety briefings and address safety concerns.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the facility.
• Serve as primary quality contact and information resource.
• Organize on-site and off-site customer visits as needed.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives and standard setting.
• Manage daily production assignments and documentation for invoicing.
• Administer payroll and HR functions to support branch operations.
• Train employees on SOPs, regulatory requirements, quality standards, and best practices.
• Plan for capital projects or operational changes and expansions.
• Leverage analytics to track initiatives and KPIs.
• Collaborate with sales to resolve customer complaints and actions.
• Support supply chain and commercial teams as needed.
• Operate motor vehicles and equipment as needed.
