Job summary

SAFE WAY GARAGE DOORS, LLC is seeking a Plant Manager in Indiana to oversee all facets of plant operations, including production planning, scheduling, quality control, safety, and maintenance. The role reports to the Vice President of Operations and requires strong leadership and organizational skills.

The ideal candidate will drive continuous improvement, manage budgets, supervise production staff, and ensure adherence to regulatory standards while optimizing material flow and inventory control.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Operations Management, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
• Proven experience as a Manufacturing Plant Manager or similar role in a manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Familiarity with quality management systems (ISO, Six Sigma, etc.).
• Proficiency in using manufacturing software and ERP systems.

Responsibilities

• Plan and oversee daily production activities to ensure timely and efficient manufacturing processes.
• Monitor production schedules, manage production budgets and scheduling personnel, and optimize resources to meet production targets.
• Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and reduce production costs.
• Ensure a safe working environment by enforcing safety policies and procedures.
• Comply with all relevant regulatory requirements and industry standards.
• Recruit, train, and supervise production staff, including supervisors and line workers.
• Foster a positive work culture, provide coaching, and conduct performance evaluations.
• Collaborate with logistics and supply chain teams to streamline material flow.
• Prepare and present reports on KPIs and production metrics.
• Maintain strict quality control standards and ensure products meet or exceed quality specifications.
