Job summary

Coleman Oil Company in Bellingham, WA seeks a full-time Plant Operations Manager to lead plant personnel and facilities, ensuring profitable performance and compliance. You will develop quality control procedures across warehouses and customer facilities while driving growth and excellent service.

You will coach teams, maintain safety and financial performance, and implement strategies to hire and train staff across locations. Experience in fuel or related industries is valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in related area or equivalent work experience in operations, logistics and supervision.
• Minimum 3 to 5 years of leadership or management experience preferably in fuel, lubricant, petroleum, transportation, logistics, distribution or related industries.
• Experience with managing inventory, fleet operations, and customer service functions.
• Ability to interact with employees at all levels of the organization and from diverse backgrounds.
• Ability to stay calm under pressure.
• General understanding of driver duties and human resource laws.
• Willing to travel and work flexible hours.
• Strong computer experience in various programs.
• CDL Class A considered a bonus

Responsibilities

• Establish a strong working relationship among drivers, service technicians, dispatchers and customer care specialists that is customer focused to drive customer growth.
• Provide leadership consistent with company values by setting clear work expectations, performance goals, and holding employees accountable for their performance.
• Exceed customer expectations on every level by avoiding service failures with pro‑active strategies and provide products/services that attract customers.
• Maintain financial performance by monitoring product costs, personnel, plant, office, and vehicle expense.
• Schedule and coordinate preventative maintenance and repairs for vehicles and plant equipment.
• Implement marketing plans to achieve annual growth objectives.
• Ensure all equipment and facilities are maintained in safe and efficient working condition.
• Ensure safety policies and procedures are being followed to meet all Federal, State, and CSV standards.
• Communicate and document employee work performance, provide feedback on a timely basis, and fully document all employee relation concerns.
• Interview, hire, train, and develop employees.
