Job summary

Tyson Foods, Inc. is seeking a production operator in Scranton to unload and wash trailers, monitor cookers, and maintain a clean, safe plant environment. You will load trucks, keep records, and perform routine equipment checks, with opportunities to assist maintenance as needed.

The role requires standing for long periods, lifting up to 60 pounds, and working shifts A–D. A forklift or skid-steer may be needed, and basic tools/computer skills are helpful.

Qualifications

• Must have mechanical/maintenance skills listed in work history or on the application
• Must be willing to work shift A, B, C, or D
• Applicants must be 18 years of age
• Must pass urinalysis screening as part of post-offer health assessment
• Must be able to use basic hand tools and perform basic mechanical tasks

Responsibilities

• Unload and wash all trailers, tankers and reefers
• Monitor cookers and maintain a clean work area
• Load trucks and complete accurate paperwork
• Perform PM and inspections on equipment
• Assist maintenance when needed while following Tyson procedures
