Smithfield Foods, Inc. is seeking an Operations Manager to lead shift production operations, drive performance, and manage costs while upholding safety and quality standards across brands like Smithfield, Eckrich, and Nathan's Famous.

You will oversee production, optimize resources, and coach a team of leaders to achieve profitability and operational excellence in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited four‑year college or university with 5+ years of relevant experience.
• 2+ years in team management or project leadership.
• Experience using time‑keeping systems, SAP, and Microsoft Office to streamline processes.
• Ability to work nights, weekends, and travel up to 10% of the time.

Responsabilités

• Leadership and Team Management: Oversee all shift production operations, directing salaried and hourly production group leaders to ensure smooth and efficient processes and motivate the team.
• Operational Efficiency and Cost Management: Partner internally for layout design improvements, oversee automation projects, and implement cost-saving initiatives while tracking costs to stay within budget.
• Safety and Ergonomics: Lead safety and ergonomic programs, train staff in protocols, enforce rules, and reduce injuries.
• Quality and Compliance: Maintain HACCP/SSOP standards and address product failures to meet compliance.
• Contingency and Accountability: Ensure procedures are followed and updated for accuracy, stepping in when key personnel are absent to maintain operations.
• People development: foster a culture of continuous improvement and employee growth through training and recognition programs.
