Job summary

Intertape Polymer Group is seeking an Operations Manager I to plan, organize, direct and control day-to-day operations in our Virginia plant. You will drive productivity gains, reduce waste, and ensure safety and process compliance while aligning with our business objectives.

You will lead a management team, implement lean initiatives, manage budgets, monitor KPIs, and collaborate across departments to optimize performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, industrial tech or engineering or equivalent experience.
• Master’s degree in Operations Management preferred for advanced oversight.
• Minimum 5+ years of manufacturing management experience with leadership.
• Experience with lean manufacturing principles and culture.
• Strong analytical, planning and execution skills.

Responsibilities

• Establish plant strategic goals aligned with the business team.
• Drive management team toward productivity gains and waste reduction.
• Benchmark to set new standards for safety, quality and cost.
• Maintain high safety standards and compliance with regulations.
• Develop and implement new business strategies to improve plant performance.
• Meet with department heads to resolve cross-functional issues.
• Staffing to meet facility requirements and maintain positive employee relations.
• Support lean manufacturing programs and ISO Quality System.
• Monitor budgets, output plans, material efficiency and HR.
• Review P&L and monitor financial performance.
• Analyze KPIs and industry trends to improve financial performance.
• Handle customer inquiries and escalate as needed.
