Job summary

Intertape Polymer Group seeks a Manufacturing Manager I to lead daily plant operations, driving safety, quality and productivity in a fast-paced environment.

You will provide direction to department supervisors, manage workloads, and champion lean initiatives while aligning with site and corporate goals. Excellent communication and project management skills are essential to succeed in this exempt, on-site role in North Carolina.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Engineering, Business Administration or related technical discipline.
• 3+ years' experience in a supervisor or manager role.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and web-based technologies.
• Demonstrated manufacturing project management and continuous improvement skills with lean six sigma and IPS.
• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
• Ability to manage heavy workload in a busy manufacturing environment and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Oversee department supervisors, assign workloads, ensure safety and quality.
• Develop and prioritize manufacturing plans to meet service, quality and productivity goals.
• Support IPS performance metrics and certification goals.
• Foster employee commitment toward continuous improvement and safety.
• Set a clear vision for areas assigned aligned with site and corporate goals; optimize use of technology to improve performance, service and quality.
• Manage labor and capital resources to meet business needs while balancing budgets and maintenance scheduling.
• Interact with other departments and external contacts as a key site leadership team member.
• Assist in developing and executing annual performance plans to achieve site goals.
• Perform related duties as assigned by supervisor.
