Job summary

DFA Lansdale plant is seeking a seasoned supervisor to oversee milk receiving, warehouse/cooler, processing, filling, packaging and retort activities. You will direct supervisors and staff, ensuring safety, quality and costs align with customers' requirements and service levels.

The role partners with QA, HR, accounting, engineering and corporate teams to drive continuous improvement, maintain SOPs, and ensure regulatory compliance, including USPH/USDA inspections.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Undergraduate degree preferred.
• 5–8 years’ manufacturing experience, food/beverage preferred.
• Supervisory or management experience.
• Certification and/or License – may be required during course of employment.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily activities of supervisors and staff to meet orders safely and cost-effectively.
• Monitor plant operations; resolve issues; improve processes.
• Ensure SOPs are developed and maintained.
• Develop and update plant operations; assist with safety programs.
• Ensure compliance with federal regulations and company policies.
• Conduct department meetings to communicate policies and plans.
• Prepare for plant inspections by USPH, USDA, and others.
• Monitor inventory and initiate purchases as needed.
• Prepare reports for management.
• Manage employee relations and performance management.
• Communicate with employees and maintain positive relations.

Education

High School Diploma

Bachelor’s degree preferred

5–8 years manufacturing experience

Supervisory/management experience

Certification or license may be required
