Job summary

Lehigh Valley Dairy Farms is seeking a Manager, Plant Operations (Second Shift) to lead daily activities across milk receiving, warehouse, processing, filling, packaging and retort departments. You will direct supervisors and staff, drive safety, quality and cost efficiency, and coordinate with QA, HR, accounting and engineering.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 5 to 8 years’ experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably food and/or beverage manufacturing.
• Supervisory or management experience.
• Certification and/or License – may be required during course of employment.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily activities of supervisors and operations staff to meet orders safely and cost-effectively.
• Monitor plant operations; identify and resolve operational issues; implement improvements.
• Ensure SOPs are developed and maintained.
• Develop and update plant operations; assist in safety program development.
• Ensure compliance with federal regulations and company policies; communicate interpretations.
• Conduct department meetings to share policies and information.
• Maintain readiness for inspections by USPH, USDA and other agencies.
• Monitor inventory levels and initiate purchases.
