Job summary

Silgan Containers seeks a Plant Manager for its Ottawa, Ohio facility. This on-site leadership role directs cross-functional operations to meet safety, quality and efficiency targets while aligning with corporate goals.

The incumbent will drive budgeting, performance metrics and customer satisfaction, reporting to senior management. The ideal candidate has 5+ years of plant management experience in a technical plastics process environment, with strong communication, budgeting, and leadership

Qualifications

• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with experience supervising managers.
• Budget preparation and management experience.
• Excellent written and oral communication; able to prepare and present reports.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership to plant staff and ensure efficient, cohesive operations.
• Meet or exceed safety, quality, and efficiency goals; manage budgets.
• Ensure regulatory compliance and SOX requirements; maintain customer relationships.
• Communicate bi-weekly with upper management and prepare monthly business reports.
• Develop annual plant budget and monitor key operating indices.
