Job summary

ALTEN Technology USA is seeking a Plant Modeling and Simulation Engineer to develop and maintain 0D/1D plant models across propulsion, chassis, ADAS, and infotainment domains, supporting XIL, virtual validation, and system integration.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure fidelity, verification, and efficient data exchange, while advancing model-based development practices and CI/CD integration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Mechanical/Computer Engineering or related field
• At least 3 years in plant modeling, simulation, or V&V environments
• Strong understanding of Model-Based Development and virtual testing
• Experience with MATLAB/Simulink or similar modeling tools
• Knowledge of physical system modeling (0D/1D)
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Knowledge of CI/CD tools and scripting language

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain 0D/1D plant models representing physical systems (propulsion, chassis, ADAS, infotainment)
• Ensure models meet fidelity levels for development phases
• Perform model validation and correlation against requirements and test data
• Support model reduction and optimization for simulation efficiency
• Integrate plant models into XIL workflows and environments
• Support virtual testing, requirement validation, and system verification
• Collaborate with controls and system engineers to align models with control strategies
• Contribute to CI pipelines for model development and validation
