ALTEN Technology USA is seeking a Plant Modeling and Simulation Engineer to develop, validate, and maintain high-fidelity plant models for XIL, virtual validation, and system integration.

The role focuses on scalable 0D/1D models for propulsion, chassis, ADAS, and infotainment, ensuring proper fidelity across concept, design, and integration phases, and supporting model-based development workflows with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering field.
  • 3+ years of experience in plant modeling, simulation, or V&V environments.
  • Strong understanding of Model-Based Development and virtual testing methods.
  • Experience with MATLAB/Simulink or similar modeling tools.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain 0D/1D plant models representing physical systems (e.g., propulsion, chassis, ADAS, infotainment).
  • Ensure models meet fidelity levels across development phases (concept, design, integration, validation).
  • Perform model validation and correlation against requirements and test data.
  • Support model reduction and optimization for simulation efficiency.
  • Integrate plant models into XIL workflows and environments.
  • Collaborate with controls and system engineers to align plant models with control strategies.
