Job summary

Cleveland Steel Container seeks a Plant Mechanical Engineer to oversee the Detroit, MI can manufacturing plant's mechanical engineering needs. You will support safe, reliable, and efficient operation of production equipment and processes, learning existing and new manufacturing methods to troubleshoot and improve equipment reliability.

You will establish spare parts lists, work with Technical Center and vendors on projects, and guide maintenance staff on mechanical troubleshooting and safety

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline required.
• Strong mechanical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and schematics.

Responsibilities

• Provide mechanical engineering expertise to Production, Maintenance, Engineering and project teams.
• Troubleshoot mechanical equipment and processes to minimize downtime and improve reliability.
• Develop and maintain spare parts lists for production equipment and lines.
• Support equipment upgrades, process improvements, and projects with technical guidance.
