Job summary

Cleveland Steel Container in Quakertown, PA is seeking a proactive Plant Engineer to optimize manufacturing processes, improve equipment reliability, and support maintenance activities to ensure safe, efficient, and cost-effective production operations.

This role requires collaboration with Production, Quality, and Supply Chain teams, strong problem-solving skills, and knowledge of Lean/Six Sigma to drive reliability initiatives and continuous improvement projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering field and 3–7+ years of manufacturing/maintenance engineering experience.
• Experience with high-volume manufacturing environments and automated equipment.
• Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Experience with PLCs, automation systems, and industrial controls.
• Proficiency with CMMS software and Microsoft Office.
• Understanding of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Optimize manufacturing processes and improve equipment reliability.
• Support maintenance activities to ensure safety and efficiency.
• Lead preventive, predictive maintenance programs and troubleshooting efforts.
• Coordinate repairs, upgrades, and installations of equipment.
• Collaborate with production, quality, and supply chain teams.
• Support new product introductions and process validations.
