Job summary
Independent Can Company is seeking a highly skilled Lead Mechanic for our Conneaut, OH facility to keep equipment running efficiently and safely. You will train teammates, support the maintenance team, and work with leadership to optimize preventive maintenance.
Ideal candidates have manufacturing experience and electrical competency (24-480V), read safety/docs well, and can lift up to 50 lbs while standing long shifts. Join a premier tin can manufacturer with long-standing growth.
Qualifications
- Must have manufacturing experience and electrical competency in 24-480V.
- Familiarity with CMMS like eMaint is preferred.
- Ability to read safety rules and operating/maintenance instructions.
- Able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long shifts.
Responsibilities
- Train and follow company and OSHA safety rules and policies.
- Assist maintenance team in safely producing top quality output.
- Work with Maintenance Manager on PM program effectiveness.
- Recommend machinery modifications and implement changes.
- Ensure lubrication and maintenance logs are complete.
- Keep machines running at target efficiencies.
