Job summary

Valmont Group is seeking a Plant Manager to lead the Elkhart plant's end-to-end operations, driving safety, quality, delivery, and cost objectives. You will supervise manufacturing, materials, scheduling, and shipping while championing continuous improvement and cost controls to optimize profitability.

The role requires strong leadership, budget discipline, and cross-functional collaboration with sales, engineering, and operations to meet customer and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Seven or more years of progressive management experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Extensive experience with budget and cost management.
• Working knowledge of all areas of production from material procurement to shipment.
• Ability to travel up to 10%, including overnights.

Responsibilities

• Staff administrative, supervisory and hourly roles with qualified personnel.
• Drive team engagement through coaching and feedback.
• Foster open communication across teams.
• Develop leaders through training and development opportunities.
• Enforce policies in partnership with HR and leadership.
• Lead continuous improvement culture to meet SQDC targets.
