Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 5+ years relevant experience or associate's degree with 7+ years relevant experience or 9+ years of relevant experience
• Five years of experience in scheduling, purchasing or a related role
• Experience with Materials Resource Planning (MRP) and/or Enterprise Resource Planning Systems
• A strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft Outlook
• Previous experience in scheduling or operations planning
• Strong leadership skills and the ability to support divisional business objectives
• Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
• The ability to recognize and solve practical problems or issues
• The ability to communicate and interact with coworkers in a positive manner
• The ability to effectively interpret and present information both one-on-one and in front of an audience
• The ability to work in a high volume, fast paced environment

Responsibilities

• Direct the departmental activities to meet or exceed profit objectives of the division
• Develop and manage the shipping and material requirements forecast used to meet site production plan
• Develop the master production schedule, long-range material requirements plan, and long and short-range capacity plans
• Schedule incoming customer sales orders and monitor/report on actual and forecasted backlogs
• Coordinate activities between production control, manufacturing, commercial channel, traffic, and shipping
• Lead scheduler and dispatch functions including shop floor schedules
• Monitor safety policies and ensure adherence
• Define production standards and monitor performance of assigned personnel
• Ensure integrity of production schedule
• Foster continuous productivity improvement and operational excellence
• Administer and support company policies and procedures
• Train new employees on divisional/organizational activities and safety policies
• Prepare daily time sheets for hourly employees, production summaries, overtime and downtime reports
• All other duties as assigned
