Job summary

Mauser Packaging Solutions is seeking a Plant Leader in Valparaiso, IN to drive Lean manufacturing initiatives and optimize plant performance. You will oversee safety, quality, scheduling, production, shipping, maintenance and administration while leading strategic planning and cost-reduction efforts.

The role requires driving profitability, managing KPIs and developing the workforce through talent reviews, performance feedback, and weekly meetings.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7–10 years of experience in operations, maintenance, engineering and/or process improvement roles including leading teams
• Experience working in a Lean environment
• Experience with plastic injection molding environment
• Experience in a commercial role with direct customer contact
• Experience managing to ISO or equivalent quality standards
• Experience implementing Operating Systems (e.g., Toyota Production System)

Responsibilities

• Ensures facility produces high-quality products efficiently within budgeted costs
• Leads Lean manufacturing initiatives and continuous improvement efforts
• Manages plant P&L and reviews KPIs daily, weekly and monthly
• Oversees safety, quality, scheduling, production, shipping, maintenance and admin functions
• Leads strategic planning including cost reduction, capital planning and resources
• Maintains safe, clean and efficient operations per company and regulatory guidelines
