Job summary

Marmon Holdings, Inc. is seeking a Plant Manager for the East Granby facility to provide strategic leadership and run all manufacturing operations.

You will drive safety, quality, delivery, productivity, and profitability while aligning with business objectives and continuous improvement initiatives. Responsibilities include leading Production, Planning & Scheduling, Engineering, Maintenance, Purchasing, and EH&S, with a focus on accountability, talent development, and lean practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations Management, Business, or a related field.
• 10+ years of progressive manufacturing leadership experience.
• Minimum of 5 years leading a manufacturing facility, business unit, or comparable operation.
• Proven success driving operational improvements in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong financial acumen with experience managing plant budgets and operational performance metrics.
• Exceptional leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.
• Demonstrated ability to build, develop, and lead high-performing teams.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and organizational capabilities.
• Preferred experience within wire and cable manufacturing, industrial manufacturing, job shop, or similar production environments.
• Experience supporting a unionized workforce.
• High-mix, low-volume manufacturing experience.
• Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement certifications.
• Working knowledge of production planning and scheduling; inventory management; procurement and materials management; quality systems and continuous improvement methodologies; labor planning and workforce optimization; manufacturing performance metrics and KPI management.

Responsibilities

• Manufacturing Operations Leadership: Lead day-to-day manufacturing operations to ensure safe, efficient, and cost-effective production. Translate objectives into measurable plant goals and operating plans.
• Safety & Compliance: Foster a safety-first culture and ensure compliance with OSHA, environmental, and company safety requirements.
• Financial & Business Management: Manage plant budgets and drive cost reduction and productivity improvements.
• Supply Chain & Production Planning: Oversee production planning, scheduling, inventory management, procurement, receiving, warehousing, and shipping.
• Leadership & Talent Development: Develop direct reports and plant personnel, build a high-performing team.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Sales, Customer Service, Engineering, Finance, Quality, and HR to achieve objectives.
