Job summary

Pacific International is helping a Fortune 500 manufacturing organization recruit a Continuous Improvement minded Plant Leader. You will drive safety, quality, delivery and cost improvements, and lead a cultural shift toward operational excellence across the site.

The role includes stewarding a major capital project to increase capacity, mentoring a manufacturing team, and building talent while maintaining a strong presence with employees at all levels.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or business-related area.
• 10+ years of manufacturing leadership experience.
• Travel up to 15%.

Job description

Pacific International has been exclusively retained by a Fortune 500 manufacturing organization, in the midst of a wide scale transformation. With continuous improvement at the forefront of this transformation, they are looking to bring a continuous improvement minded Plant Leader into a key operation.

You’ll focus heavily on driving the cultural shift of this key plant – building a mindset around - safety, quality, delivery, cost and continuous improvement. You will also play a key part in a large scale capital project within the facility – working to increase the capacity of the site.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop a manufacturing team to provide excellent customer service by focusing on safety, quality, delivery and cost.
• Lead the manufacturing facility, driving a culture of safety, accountability, and operational excellence while overseeing all site operations.
• Implement the organization’s Operating model – utilizing tools such as 5S to impact inventory and throughput
• Sets clear production, quality, environmental, and reliability targets aligned with site goals and customer commitments
• Builds organizational capability by hiring, developing, and retaining technical and leadership talent; ensures workforce engagement and performance alignment
• Maintains a strong presence in the plant - engaging regularly and authentically with employees at all levels
• Creates an environment where employees feel heard and valued; encourages feedback, listens actively, and communicates transparently

Requirements:

• Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing & Six Sigma methodologies
• Must have prior experience serving as a Site Leader.
• Bachelor's degree in the Engineering field or Business-Related Area.
• 10+ Years of Experience in a manufacturing leadership positions.
• Travel up to 15%
