Job summary

CGB Enterprises, Inc is seeking a Maintenance Technician for our North Dakota Soybean Processing Plant. The role focuses on maintenance, servicing, and inspection of processing equipment, with opportunities for fabrication, welding, and blueprint reading.

The position requires adherence to safety programs and on-call availability for emergencies. Responsibilities include routine inspections, preventative maintenance, equipment repairs, and installation projects.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• No prior maintenance experience required; preferred.
• Understanding of mechanical maintenance concepts.
• Ability to read blueprints.

Responsibilities

• Participate in safety, food safety, and quality programs and attend daily pre-shift meetings.
• Perform duties in compliance with OSHA, Lock Out Tag Out, Confined Space and Hot Permit procedures.
• Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance per manufacturer recommendations.
• Carry out basic equipment upkeep, repairs, and rebuild spare equipment.
• Monitor equipment to prevent downtime and troubleshoot issues.
• Perform installation projects and daily repairs as needed.
• Maintain inventory and ensure parts are available.
• Complete documentation timely and accurately (checklists, PM records, repair notes).
• Contain and recover spilled oil; clean up as required.
• Be on-call for weekends, nights, and holidays for emergencies.
• Perform highly skilled maintenance tasks (electrical, fabrication, welding, carpentry) as needed.
