Job summary
Flowers Foods, Inc. in Houston is seeking an Industrial Maintenance Superintendent to lead the maintenance floor across shifts, plan PMs, and mentor technicians. The role partners with the Engineering Manager to ensure safety, quality, and regulatory compliance in a fast-paced bakery environment.
You will review PM orders in SAP, coordinate downtime, and drive continuous improvement through RCA and project planning. A strong background in electrical systems and PLCs is essential to succeed.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of proven leadership or supervisory experience with demonstrated knowledge in industrial electrical wiring, PLC troubleshooting, motor control, and equipment repair.
Responsibilities
- Manage the floor for all shifts: schedule and mentor supervisors, plan and schedule preventive maintenance (PM).
- Review PM orders, work requests, and down day planning in SAP; develop Root Cause Analysis (RCA) as needed.
- Plan small-scale maintenance projects with Engineering Manager.
- Identify and solve repetitive maintenance issues; train and coach supervisors; conduct skill-based assessments.
- Demonstrate leadership, time management, and safety compliance; adhere to company policies.
