Smithfield Foods in Wichita, KS is seeking a Maintenance Clerk to support plant operations by handling purchasing clerical tasks, requisitions, and maintenance purchase orders. You will be the go-to contact for vendors to ensure timely deliveries and clear communication.

The role also requires overseeing maintenance tools and on-site inventory, generating regular reports, and assisting in safety and environmental compliance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• SAP knowledge preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work well with others in a fast-paced environment.
• Respectful, approachable and team-oriented work style.

Responsabilités

• Vendor & Supplier Management: manage accounts, ensure timely orders, resolve invoices, coordinate deliveries, and track orders from MRO buyers.
• Maintenance & Inventory Management: oversee repair/rebuilds, perform monthly checks, review Maintenance PMs, address parts-room concerns and requests.
• Reporting & Documentation: provide routine reports and manage Plant Purchase Orders for receiving and billing.
• Training & Safety Compliance: train new employees and maintain safe, compliant work areas.
