Job summary

Century Aluminum is seeking a Maintenance Planner to organize maintenance activities, develop detailed work scopes, and provide accurate labor estimates for outages and repairs. You will coordinate with production to minimize downtime and ensure timely execution.

The role requires CMMS experience and ideally SAP knowledge, with 3–5 years in maintenance planning and a relevant technical background. This is an on-site role at the Kentucky plant, offering opportunities for professional growth.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or GED; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 3–5 years of maintenance planning experience preferred.
• Experience with CMMS; SAP is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Learn and uphold Century Aluminum’s Safety Mission Statement.
• Develop detailed job scopes with accurate labor estimates and required resources.
• Coordinate equipment downtime with production to prevent delays and control costs.
• Manage backlog through short- and long-term planning; authorize entries and ensure accuracy.
• Write requisitions for direct purchases, monitor deliveries, and receive maintenance materials.
• Schedule resources and prepare backlog reports for weekly planning meetings.
• Participate in weekly scheduling meetings with operations and engineers to discuss the schedule and improvements.
