Job summary

Alpha Executive Search is seeking a Maintenance Planner/Scheduler in South Carolina. This role requires you to coordinate maintenance activities with production requirements, ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.

The ideal candidate has 2–3 years of experience in maintenance planning, strong communication skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office. You will be responsible for scheduling maintenance work orders, developing preventive maintenance programs, and aligning activities with production schedules.

Job description

The Maintenance Planner/Scheduler partners closely with Maintenance, Operations, and Production teams to coordinate maintenance activities in alignment with production requirements while ensuring safety and regulatory compliance are maintained.

Responsibilities

• Plan, prioritize, and schedule maintenance work orders for equipment, facilities, and utilities
• Collaborate with Supervisors, Leads, and Technicians to define labor requirements, materials, tools, and contractor support needed to complete work
• Align maintenance activities with production schedules, shutdown periods, and operational priorities to minimize disruption
• Develop, maintain, and continuously improve preventive and predictive maintenance schedules
• Track maintenance performance metrics and support KPI reporting and analysis
• Ensure all maintenance work is completed in compliance with safety standards and regulatory requirements
• Coordinate scheduling of outside contractors and service providers as required
• Monitor spare parts availability and support inventory planning and control
• Maintain accurate and timely records of maintenance activities within CMMS/EAM systems
• Support troubleshooting efforts through organization and review of technical data and equipment history
