Job summary

Alene Candles is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to oversee plant, property, and equipment maintenance, safety systems, and the facilities team. You will lead a robust PM program, manage spares, and learn operations to support production.

The role requires 8–10 years in manufacturing with 1+ year supervision; BS in Engineering preferred. Onsite in New Albany, OH with competitive benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Eight to ten years in manufacturing/industrial environment with equipment, facilities, and safety responsibilities.
• At least 1 year of supervisory experience.
• BS degree in Engineering or equivalent preferred.
• Experience with third-party contractors and suppliers is a plus.
• Experience with Preventative Maintenance, CAD, and Project Management Software preferred.
• Effective written and verbal communicator.
• Proven ability to develop and implement facility and equipment solutions that reduce cost and improve efficiency while aligning with safety standards.
• Demonstrated project management skills.
• Knowledge and experience with HVAC systems, electrical, mechanical, automated equipment, engineering, and maintenance principles.
• Ability to supervise maintenance staff and collaborate cross-functionally at all levels.
• Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain safety programs.

Responsibilities

• Plan, oversee, and coordinate maintenance of equipment, machinery and facilities.
• Direct maintenance activities for plant, property and equipment systems.
• Prepare RFQs, bid sheets and contracts for upgrades.
• Manage project implementations for plant improvements.
• Define and optimize equipment setup, run, and maintenance procedures.
• Manage the Preventative Maintenance system.
• Supervise and direct maintenance staff.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities in equipment and facilities processes.
• Train maintenance staff and operations on equipment operation.
• Communicate with staff and collaborate cross-functionally with other departments.
• Other duties as assigned.
