Job summary

Ashland Inc. in Hopewell, VA is seeking a Daily Maintenance Leader to own the site daily maintenance workflow and drive safety, quality, and cost priorities.

This high-visibility role reports to the Maintenance Manager and requires leading union-related activities, coaching teams, and ensuring adherence to stewardship and production standards. You will coordinate cross-functional prioritization with Operations, Reliability, and Maintenance while managing the weekly schedule and backlog.

Qualifications

• 5-10 years in manufacturing supporting Maintenance/Operations.
• Demonstrated experience leading maintenance teams in a union environment.
• Experience with maintenance planning, scheduling, and reliability programs in a chemical manufacturing environment.
• Demonstrated responsible and ethical behavior at all times.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily maintenance workflow across planning, scheduling, execution, closeout and learning.
• Set expectations for safe work planning, permitting, LOTO and high-hazard activities.
• Coordinate cross-functional maintenance prioritization with Operations and Reliability.
• Direct maintenance supervision and resource management to meet safety, quality and production goals.
• Govern backlog health, work-package quality, and scheduling standards.
• Drive contractor governance, cost control and performance reporting.
