Job summary

Ashland Specialty Ingredients, GP in Hopewell, VA seeks an Electrical and Instrumentation (E&I) Maintenance Supervisor to lead daily maintenance activities, ensure safe work practices, and coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance to maximize uptime and productivity.

You will supervise E&I craftsmen, plan schedules, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to align priorities with manufacturing goals.

Qualifications

5+ years of maintenance experience in chemical, petrochemical, or industrial settings.
2+ years of supervisory or leadership experience.
Strong knowledge of pumps, compressors, piping systems, instrumentation, and electrical systems.
Familiarity with CMMS software and maintenance planning tools.

Responsibilities

Lead, train, and mentor a team of E&I craftsman; assign tasks and ensure timely completion.
Plan and execute preventive and predictive maintenance schedules for the mechanical group; troubleshoot equipment to minimize downtime.
Ensure proper documentation of maintenance activities in the CMMS and manage vacation calendars, overtime, and staffing items.
Enforce safety rules; conduct safety audits, risk assessments, and incident investigations; ensure proper handling of hazardous materials.
Collaborate with scheduling, production, engineering, reliability, and HSES teams to align maintenance priorities with goals.
Identify opportunities to improve equipment reliability and reduce maintenance costs; support lean and reliability-centered maintenance.
