Job summary

Saint-Gobain/CertainTeed seeks a Maintenance & Engineering Manager to lead the maintenance and engineering functions for a gypsum wallboard and plaster plant. You will guide the team to maximize asset availability and reliability in alignment with safety and environmental standards.

You will drive a world-class maintenance program, manage capital projects with vendors and contractors, and promote continuous improvement across production, mechanical, electrical, and engineering groups to deliver

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science Degree in mechanical, electrical or industrial engineering, or five (5) years of equivalent training and experience.
• 5-10 years' experience in maintenance in a professional/management role.
• Knowledge of the gypsum manufacturing process and related equipment is an asset.
• Strong experience with developing a sustainable World Class Maintenance System (inspection, predictive and preventive maintenance, planning, execution, Root Cause Failure Analysis and improvements)
• Experience in capital project management, including handling vendors and contractors and installation commissioning.
• Extensive experience in manufacturing equipment repair.
• Demonstrated ability in planning, organizing, coordinating and directing a Maintenance Department.
• Proven ability to be an outstanding coach and leader, with succession planning and employee development skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead maintenance and engineering functions for a gypsum wallboard and plaster manufacturing plant.
• Oversee plant engineering activities including capital expenditures, designs and construction projects.
• Ensure safety performance and asset reliability to meet production needs.
• Promote continuous improvement and teamwork among production, mechanical, electrical, and engineering staff.
