Job summary

Starbucks is seeking a Plant Lead to support daily manufacturing and distribution at our Roasting Plant. You will lead shift activities, ensure product quality, safety, and productivity, and act as an escalation point while maintaining a safe, compliant work environment.

The role requires prior experience in manufacturing or distribution, strong communication and coaching skills, and the ability to work with diverse teams.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; 4+ years of US military service accepted as alternative.
• Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.
• Attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.
• Ability to follow verbal directions and adapt to a fast-paced environment.
• Experience with manufacturing or distribution environments preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist supervisor in day-to-day operations; prepare for shift kick-off and close-out; complete shift notes.
• Serve as escalation resource for issues during shift.
• Audit functional area daily for product quality, inventory accuracy, and customer service standards.
• Lead daily manufacturing or distribution tasks; ensure productivity goals are met.
• Maintain safe, clean, and organized work environment; oversee sanitation schedule.
• Provide training and coaching on SOPs, quality and safety procedures.
• Recommend process improvements and support changes.
• Review Kronos timesheets to ensure accuracy.
• Support safety, food safety programs and GMPs.
